We did it. We made a Cold IPA... Off the Record. Pineapple, cantaloupe, and bright tropical aromas with a light body and a super clean finish. It's a tasty little rascal.

16oz can. Bought direct from brewery and canning date shows beer to be 2 months old already, which is a bit disappointing.
L: Light haze, almost clear. Pale, honey-coloured with a long-lasting soapy head. Looks good.
S: Resin, dank fruit & glue.
T: Overripe melon, more glue, very bitter. Aftertaste is long and piney.
F: Medium body with a rich mouthfeel that becomes parched.
O: Way too much alcohol. Very prominent in all of smell, taste and feel. The crisp & clean characteristics of a Cold IPA are deadened by the weight of alcohol. All that said, I can sense a good beer in here. Maybe, with 1.5% less ABV and this could be really good.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that left a collar around the edge and lots of specks of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of melon - cantaloupe and honeydew - are present in the nose along with notes of pineapple.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of pineapple are stronger and more on par with those of the melon.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is bursting with flavors of tropical fruit and does a good job at hiding any traces of alcohol from the taste.
