I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a pub glass.
Appearance: rich amber hue with a light haze and a finger of creamy tan foam atop.
Smell: sweet and caramelly with a fruity, almost cider-like aroma. The cider might be an off-flavor, but it kinda works here.
Taste: sweet malt with kind of an amber ale character of caramel and toast. That cidery, fruity flavor is here too, and while it's not bad it's not really appropriate for the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a nicely smooth creaminess.
Overall: this isn't a bad beer, but it feels a bit off stylistically and with that cidery note.
