A tribute to one of Collective Brewing Project's few non-sour beers, this dry porter has a great balance of roastiness and rye flavor.

32oz crowler, tulip, picked up from brewery on 4/19/20.
A lighter shade of Porter. Light can be seen throughout, barely, but it can. The head is nice and fluffy in very light tan.
Slight charcoal, bark, metallic, damp earth, toffee.
Earthy, herbal, a little milk chocolate, and just a little peppery bite in the finish. It is dry as advertised, which makes it different than most American Porters and Stouts. I appreciate that it's dry, subtle, and focuses on the spicy and earthy qualities of rye and non-citrusy hops.
It is thin and the carbonation is low. The carbonation can be explained by the crowler packaging and my 24 hour wait to drink it. The body isn't exactly a problem and I expect would be satisfying were the carbonation crisper; it might even showcase the dryness.
Funky Picnic has some creative and entertaining beer names. This certainly isn't sour, but it is a tasty, off the beaten path Porter.
