Can from the IGA in Winter Harbor, ME. Pours clear amber with two fingers of white head that linger, smell is doughy candied malts, hints of clove and caramelized banana, taste is caramel malts, hints of burnt caramel, molasses covered banana, with a bit of bitter booze at the end, feel is medium bodied. A rugged boozy caramel triple.

Modest head, light spots. Dark amber color. Hazy.
Rich caramel nose with plenty of crystal malt. Lightly sweet.
Lots of maltose sweetness up front. There's a touch of alcohol and raisin in the swallow. Full bodied with enough carbonation to prevent the beer from getting cloy. Light Belgian yeast to the tongue. Short aftertaste.

So. Effing. Good. The most delicious beer, with an 8.8 kick.

Can't say enough about this brewery. Wonderfully cozy, in a shady neighborhood - I'd be a regular there. Beers were diverse and tasty. Good tripel.
