Carminia is an explosion of flavors that will transport you straight to tropical gardens! Invitingly amber in color, it intoxicates the senses with intense aromas of citrus and exotic fruit, intertwined with caramelized and slightly biscuity notes from the malts. The bold bitterness of Cascade and Eldorado hops creates an intoxicating and persistent balance . A sensory experience for lovers of traditional IPAs.

Draft: Poured a cloudy/hazy yellow color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops undertones with some juicy notes. Taste is also a mix of citrusy hops notes with some juicy characteristics with a somewhat bitter finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable double NEIPA but hops notes could have been more pronounced.

Good three finger head. Some 3D streaks and spots. Dirty gold to amber color. Cloudy but no milkshake.
Strong enough malt to get some biscuit and dry caramel.
The body is richer than most IPAs. Higher carbonation. The base is creamy with a weak white toast flavor. The hop makes this beer dry up quickly, almost astringent. Not quite harsh because the malt holds up. Long aftertaste.

On draft at the brewery in a plastic cup. Poured a cloudy, hazy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of mango, orange, guava and toasted caramel. Sweet tropical fruitiness with a floral touch and caramel malt sweetness.

This is one hell of a wild ride for a beer. Just a freekin’ lot going on with some funky hops and ingredients I have never heard of. Really really liked it but pretty sure I wouldn’t drink 16 oz. of it at a sitting. Intense. But I would sure look forward to having more of it the next time I hit the place.
