I am so far behind, on tap at the location in Ellsworth on a motorcycle trip this summer.

Good head production and OK retention.
Very aromatic brew; I can smell it from a few feet away, even when colder than ideal. That said, up close it lacks a bit of depth. It's very pleasant, but fairly straightforward, with notes of coffee, roasted barley, red grape, caramel, toffee, and cream, and only bare hints of vanilla and chocolate.
A touch thin on the palate - unsurprising for a milk stout, perhaps (smooth and creamy but thin). Very little hint of the true ABV; the alcohol is noticeable but never near the presentation you might expect to warn you of the near-10% ABV.
Flavor comes in a few waves. Up front, it's relatively mild, with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, cream, and vanilla. Nearing the second third, suddenly there is an explosion of dark chocolate and bitter coffee, bringing along more minor notes of toffee and honeycomb. The back third is mostly flavor fade, leaving behind lingering notes of plum, honeycomb, cream, cola, and vanilla.
This is a very nice stout. All of the ingredients come to play, even if they don't play together quite perfectly.

A: Pours a near pitch black color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap that leaves decent lacing
S: Roasted malt, vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, dark fruit, and a touch of anise
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a mix of roasted malt, vanilla, dark chocolate, and anise. Picks up the coffee and caramel, with a light dark fruit undertone. Alcohol not very noticeable. Finishes with lingering roast, coffee, and anise
M: Medium-full bodied with low-moderate carbonation
O: A solid imperial milk stout with plenty of coffee and some vanilla. Makes for a nice sipper at 9.4%. Worth checking out
