The Birds, a red saison, boasts complex flavors of clove, pepper, banana, raisin, light caramel, and toasted bread. It's nicely smooth up front, and finishes dry.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured a nice slightly hazy burnt orange hue with a thick off white head that fades to leave a thin blanket and light halo.
S - Aromas of cloves, bananas, peppercorn, esters. Light farmhouse yeast. Almost smells like a cross between a saison and a hefe.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of toasted bread, caramel, decent dark fruit. Esters are still present along with light banana and peppercorn. Finish is more bread and caramel with a lingering bitterness as well.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little crisp.
O - Overall this was a decent enough saison. The caramel and toast is nice, however, the lingering finish throws me for a loop as far as saison style goes. They have so many great beers I don't think I'd have this again.
