The third beer in our single-hop series, Good Hang: Simcoe features a big hoppy aroma with dank, piney, and citrusy notes, a bready and slight stonefruit body, and a dry, crisp finish.

Draft at the brewery
Large foamy frothy white head with moderate retention and whispy lacing, hazy cloudy medium orange color

Nose brings dank Simcoe, earth grassy dank and resinous, then citrus, grapefruit pith mostly, light grainy malt, quite pithy

Taste brings more of the same, light grainy malt, little doughy, soft juicy treated water, big grapefruit and citrus, light colored citrus and little tropical like, but of stone fruit, but also some dank grassy resiny notes and pine, dry light finish, a touch of bitterness

Mouth is med to lighter bod, ok for sessionable NEIPA and soft lager like, med carb

Overall not bad, plenty of single for good and bad, thankfully no cat pee, malts could have been a tad bigger for support, but decent

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.

A - Poured a nice hazy pale golden hue with a thick one finger white head that fades to leave light lacing and a creamy blanket.

S - Big aromas of slightly sweet pineapple jam and pine. Good flashes of stone fruit as well, almost candied. Nice malt balance.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with slightly sweeter hops, pineapple, herbal tea, light pine notes, little bready. Doesn't pop as much as the nose.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, little creamy and fluffy.

O - Overall this was a solid enough hoppy lager. Nice hop presence.
