I tried this beer at the brewery as part of an EIGHTEEN BIG D (Mega) sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with nice ecru head that did not leave much lace. The scent had roast malt and coffee notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bold coffee presence with subtle chocolate and vanilla highlights. The mouthefeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
