Smoothie sour aged in gin barrels. Poured apricot color with no translucence. Some fruit sediment dispersed throughout. Aromas heavy of tropical fruits without any notes of gin barrels. Upon tasting, again heavy juicy tropical fruits. I do taste spirits from the barrels but not the botanical qualities of gin. I think the heavy fruit kind of overshadowed the gin. Mouthfeel is thick, with some sediment you could bite on. Overall, an interesting take, definitely what I would call a smoothie beer! I think if the fruit was tapered down a bit, there would be more botanical qualities shining through. Still a good beer nonetheless!
