Had on tap at the brewery.
In arrival 1 finger of white head was present that dissipated over a few minutes. The body is a light hazy golden amber.
The aroma has a nice balance of banana and spice, but a generic fermentation aroma is present as well. A slight maltiness is here but the smell is a bit light.
The taste is also a bit light. Not quite banana bread like a true Bavarian hefe. Definitely malty and wheaty but still a bit light and mineralic. I think the water needs to be softer.
Feel is full on the front with an almost frothy feel, but it quickly becomes a bit thin and dry for the style. Very drinkable, but I want a more bready feel out of this.
Overall this is somewhere in between a wit and a hefe tbh. Not my fa orite hefeweizen but not my least favorite either. No weird americanized lemon flavors but I just want more.
