Had on tap at the brewery.
On arrival, one finger of fine white head was present, on top of a slightly hazy golden body. Some delicate lacing is left.
Aroma is Ora gey, but not in a dominating way, followed by a Belgian banana and vanilla yeast character. This does come off as a bit close to German hefe yeast, but it is still clearly belgian.
Taste follows the aroma, but drops some of the orange and goes all in on the sweet and slightly spicy Belgian yeast character. There is a slight juicy note right up front and sweetness throughout, but the flavor fades into a vanilla banana bread very smoothly.
The feel is incredibly smooth and drinkable, especially considering the ABV. This is moderately dry with a medium long finish, but it doesn't come off as intense.
Overall this is delicious and almost a fruited cross between a Belgian strong and a hefeweizen, at least in yeast character.
