Had on tap at the brewery.
On arrival 1 finger of head was present but rete isn't fantastic. The body appears to be a lighter black but up to light some light comes through highlighting the deep brown slightly hazy body.
The aroma is deeply malty and roasty just like an Irish stout should be. There is definitely a deeper darker malty vibe than your regular Guinness but it isn't coming off as heavy, just the way it should be.
The flavor is definitely matching the aroma with a sweet and roasty. It isn't quite as Intense as the aroma but there is a definite bitterness that is present to even things out.
The feeling is drinkable but malty and heavy. It's tasty but not quite as smooth as a Guinness. Still for the ABV it's smooth so be careful. If this is your beer of choice get it while you can.
Overall this is a solid "Irish" stout, especially with this being an American craft "Irish" stout. It is a bit chocolatey and bitter, but it's solid as hell.

This was a hybrid between a straight dry stout and a milk stout. Tasted good, but I feel like they need to pick a lane here. It's also a bit high ABV for the style. I think I'd prefer this to be a dry stout - they could lose the creaminess and drop the ABV down to about 4.5% and really have something.
