Very unimpressive-looking brew: tiny fizzy head that quickly disappears.
Pleasant and boozy aroma. I really wasn't expecting this one to clock in so high, but now the aroma makes more sense. Clearly a pumpkin spice beer, but it's not over the top.
Flavor delivers what you want out of a pumpkin spice beer without overwhelming you with too much dry spice. Cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, toffee, sugar, coffee, vanilla, cola.
Drinks fairly easily. The mouthfeel leaves a bit to be desired, likely related to the head production, but it's got enough liveliness to drink cleanly. Drinks way too easily for the high ABV; you could crush this one down pretty quickly - but do so at your own peril.

Pours a mostly opaque, dark chestnut-brown color. A two finger velvety khaki head forms on the beer and lingers, but ultimately dissipates. Just a thin layer of foam remains on the top of the beer. The aroma has notes of pumpkin - like actual sliced pumpkin - along with a lovely array of spices. Nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, allspice and brown sugar all dance across the nose. Hints fo sweetness come from notes of vanilla and the aforementioned brown sugar. This is one of those pumpkin beers that is pumpkin driven with the "pumpkin spice" serving a complimentary role.
The taste is just lovely - there are notes of pumpkin, some dark malts or bread notes, and then comes the spices. Notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and clove all come through providing a noticeable bite to the flavor. The vanilla and brown sugar are subtle and complimentary - mostly providing the fleeting hint of sweetness. Surprisingly, for a beer called "More Boos", this beer is not boozy at all. Feel is medium bodied, smooth, with mild carbonation.
Overall this is a pumpkin beer for pumpkin beer fans. I love pumpkin beers, but even I was getting pumpkined out with the last pour of the bottle. It is however a delicious beer, well crafted and well worth seeking out for fans of pumpkin beers.

750ml capped/corked bottle served in a tulip. I don't see a date on it, but I'm assuming it's a once-a-year beer, and it's this year's. Came to me through BIF #14 from @MacMalt.
Pours a clear amber with a small head. Actually very pretty. Smell is pumpkin pie -- moderate sweetness, a little vanilla some cinnamon maybe but I think more nutmeg. Doesn't come across boozy, and at least so far it hasn't descended into a train wreck of spices -- it smells nice and balanced. I am heartened by the apparently muted cinnamon note. So far so good.
Taste is boozy (well, it is 12.6% after all). I get a pretty substantial amount of caramel and toffee. Spices of course are there, but again, thankfully, not an assault. I hardly get any cinnamon, and the nutmeg is fairly moderate. Squash almost comes across like sweet potato (the thought occurred to me with the aroma, too). Something bitter is starting to build in the background...maybe a burnt sugar kind of flavor? Actually made me think of burnt marshmallow. Which probably reveals a little of the vanilla, too.
Mouthfeel is moderately thick, moderately still, just a slight slick oiliness. Overall, this is a very good beer, and I'm impressed.

Reviewed the week of its release. Served on draught at the brewery; a 10 oz. pour served in a tulip glass. It pours a pretty, orange-ruby color, like a dark iced tea, with a creamy, light khaki-colored head and lacing. It's an attractive pour. Its smell features pumpkin pulp, vanilla, clove, cinnamon, and brown sugar. The taste opens with pumpkin pie spicing: cinnamon, clove, and allspice, along with pumpkin pulp and vanilla. The taste reminds me of a ginger snap cookie; it's very flavorful. There is a good dose of spice at the finish. The mouth feel is fairly creamy with a pleasant level of carbonation. The elevated 12.6% ABV is largely hidden so I recommend that it be sipped slowly. Overall, More Boos is very well brewed. I like it better than the regular version, Boos, both in terms of taste and mouth feel. The best way I can describe this Imperial Pumpkin Ale is as a big ABV version of Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale, which is my go-to Pumpkin Ale.
