Inspired by Grafs (Cider/Ale Blend) this brew is made with Apple Juice, winter spices including cinnamon & nutmeg, vanilla bean, orange peel, and molasses. The Nelson Sauvin hops used give a white wine fruitiness and subtle bitterness.

This is a different recipe from 2020-2021 with a very different result. I had it on draught at the brewery. It's hazy with a color akin to dark iced tea and sports a long-lasting, creamy, ecru-colored had and extensive lacing. The nose features apple cider, cinnamon, nutmeg, and just a whiff of vanilla. This is an example of the taste not following the nose. It opens dry and malty with strong notes of molasses and cinnamon. The apple juice is present but well in the background. In this respect it's not like a Graff. The malt presence is much more substantial than last year's release. As it warms, there are subtle notes of orange. It finishes with only a slight bitterness. This ale has a pleasant, creamy mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and the 7.3% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, this is a less fruity and more malty Winter Ale that drinks smoothly and is more traditional. I enjoyed it.
