Yields a brown, reddish color with a slightly orangy white head.
Smells of dried clay, fermented red wine grapes, green bell pepper and vinegar covered horse blanket. Got an ancient, dry, alcohol soaked wood barrel characteristic to it, gently accompanied by lighter molasses and cherry piths.
Tastes of oily, tart vinegar forward pomegranate syrup among bakers chocolate, old garden herbs and sugared blood oranges. The initial prominent tartness of this gets gently toned down by a complex, grape dominated barrel appearance then, opening up the palate to red currants, unsalted olives and ripe blackberries. Finishes with a perfect, well nuanced balance between its prominent, leathery tartness and the beer‘s dry to sweet plethora of herbs and fruits.
Very well made, incredibly bold, complex and finely nuanced Flemish Red, which works even better on a warm summer day.

Feb 2020 bottling. Caramel amber color. Khaki head.
This is very unique. Lots of spice and herbs, lot of blood orange and citrus. Malty, caramel, cherry from the Oude Bruin base. A bit sour, not to bad. Not too tart either. Very unique and enjoyable.
