Yields a golden color with a smaller, white head atop.
Offers aromas of dusty, toffee covered grains, together with some dough and old leather jacket. There is a subtle mushroom and blue cheese funkiness in this, coming together very well on the nose, due to some help from the matured oak.
Has a light and mellow mouthfeel with a late carbonation spark, making this very soft on the tongue and refreshing at the same time.
Tastes of old spent grains, lime zest and rustic, sun ripened straw among lighter toffee. This highlights a leather boots appearance, together with some overcooked potatoes and caramel infused grains entangled into tart and dry herbs. Finishes mineralic, fuller bodied than its beginning, even more rustic with more pronounced, wooden turning grains and malts among an equally more intense noble bitterness, leading to a pleasant, late flavor peak, resulting in a fulfilling crispness.
Soft, dry, complex and rustic, this is right up my alley. The beer‘s matured character, combined with its lofty, soft mouthfeel opens up the palate to a truly satisfying experience.
