Draft at the brewery
Big creamy foamy head with good retention and lacing, slight hazy medium gold to orange color
Nose definitely Belgian, like a cross between saison and wit thanks to sweeter malt wheat and orange zest like a wit, candied orange peel, mild spices, mild herbal fruity hop
Taste again like a cross between the two, sweet doughy malt and wheat, light toasted quality, into hops herbal floral and fruity, turning a little spicy later, medium light bitterness then increasing late, mild saison spices as phenol notes, some orange zest and orange marmalade but less than the aroma, fruity esters with pear and pome fruit, flash of bubblegum
Mouth is medium bod but soft and a little creamy, medium-high carb
Overall interesting cross, more wit on the nose, more saison in the taste with hop level of an American saison, a fun and enjoyable blend of styles
