Pours a nearly clear bold darkish amber with plenty of foam in the goblet. Aromatic with citrus of all kinds. Rich and citrus flavored with tangerine in the lead.. Tangy finish with a moderate dose of lemon rind and some grapefruit in the aftertaste. It gets rather bitter after some sipping. Overall this is a robust and quite drinkable hoppy brew in the old, bold style. Back again for 2024, canned June 3. From the 16 oz can purchased somewhere up north.

16oz can purchased at Huckleberry's, in Spokane, WA, for $3.59. Initially, I didn't think the can was dated, but I now see there is a small stamp on the side of the can that declares it was canned on May 18th, 2023. That is not an auspicious date, seeing as how it was the 43rd anniversary of Mt. St Helens exploding, and that it means the beer is nearly four months old. Eastside means different things in Washington, according to where you live in the state. The Seattle area considers the "east side" to be the area on the east end of Lake Washington, like in or around Bellevue. The rest of the state sees anything past the Cascades as being on the "east side", and seeing as how this was brewed in Yakima, I suspect that's what Single Hill meant.
Poured into a teku, this was a hazy, cloudy, orange amber color, with a good sized off-white head. Said head left lots of lace.
Citrusy and sweet hop aroma. Some crackery malt aroma as well.
Fruit forward flavor, reminiscent of citrus and tropical fruit up front, transitioning to a more pithy, grapefruity bitterness on the back end.
Medium bodied. Lightly oily mouth feel.
Pretty good juicy and citrusy hazy ipa, but nothing that reinvents the wheel. Maybe the flavors would've been a little more vibrant if I were to have found it on a shelf in May instead of late August.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a one finger white head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and mildly dank hops, orange, lemon, light mixed stone fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus hops with a touch of pine and dankness, grapefruit, lemon, mixed citrus rind. Somewhat astringent citrus rind finish with a touch of pine. Medium bodied with light creaminess. There is a pleasant character to the light malt in this one that appeals to me, and I'm more of a fan of heavier caramel malt in my IPAs. The hops have good bitterness, but not super exciting, and the herbal flavors taper off in the finish leaving a rindy finish. A satisfactory IPA, but nothing stands out.

16oz can (Of course. Dated 5/13/20) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a murky light orange color with 3/4 inch of white head that low retention and lacing. The aroma and flavor were the anticipated froot and no malt. The body was light, with a medium finish. Drinkability was OK, but not thrilling. Overall, average-ish.
