Pours a gorgeous hazy straw color with a creamy white head that laces the glass nicely. I’m not familiar with the Idaho Gem hop, but a little interwebz research reveals that this hop varietal features red cherries, and that is true for my nose, with some citrus as well.

The cherries are prominent on the taste, which works extraordinarily well for me because I absolutely LOVE cherries, but I can see how this would cause some palate confusion because you don’t typically look at a straw colored hazy and think you’re going to find cherries at the end of your flavor journey.

But this works really well for me, and I look forward to trying more stuff from this adventurous brewery.

16oz can (no date) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a very cloudy medium yellow color with over an inch of white head that had good retention and lacing.

The aroma was hop forward, as expected, with light citrus and grape being the lead actors.

Same on the tongue, with some bitterness middle-back thrown in.

The body was medium, fairly typical for the style, smooth, and had a dry finish.

Drinkability will depend on how much you like the new Idaho Gem hop. I don't think this is the hop for me.

Overall, a solid and nice brew that didn't really push my buttons. YMMV.
