They call this an "American IPA" but it depends on what part. This is certainly hazy and acidic with the fruit buzzkill. Serious flavors of tangerine and orange peel. Very sharp but quite sudsy mouthfeel. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. This has all the makings of a sore throat. The fruity flavors start out invitingly but that harsh dishwater with the detergent taste loses me.
Comparing the two regular IPAs I had this week with this hazy one, all from Single Hill, it is totally clear that the NEIPA process is just a waste of good hops. To my palate, anyway, but after tasting over 400 hazies I think I earned my opinion. From the 16 oz can dated 25 July.
