Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of pale malt, dank, citrus and fruit hops, catty dankness, grapefruit, mixed over-ripe light stone fruit and tropical fruit. Flavor with pale and lightly caramel malt, dank and citrus hops, grapefruit, vague mixed fruit and a touch of pine; mostly herbal and catty dankness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. A very pleasant West Coast IPA on the dank end of the spectrum; dankness is the main attraction here. A little citrus and pine, but both take a back seat. This won my heart with a solid, mildly caramel malt base which I like a lot better than lighter pale malt IPAs. I like it.
