Northern Danger is a Fresh Hop IPA that we brewed with our new friends at Jackknife Brewing and Land & Sea Brewing, both in BC, Canada. Northern Danger started with fresh, wet Roy Farms Centennial and C&C Hop Farms Simcoe and then was dry hopped with Fresh AF C&C Centennial, Loftus Ranches Simcoe, and Van Horn Farms Cascade.

really taste fresh hop hazy type beer, intense on the palate, on the edge of over saturated really, and there is some sediment in the bottom of these cans, even a little messiness, not as dialed as the fresh luck they do, which is epic and all time for me, but this scratches the fresh hop itch and is a cool showcase of more classic varietals but in a neat and newer way, more of dry hoppy vibe, lots and lots of dry hops. the nose on this is vibrant, like its obviously super fresh, light diesel to the hops, milled pine boards and sawdust too, resinous weedy character, zested lemon and tangerine, green tea, and juicy pineapple, very compelling in the nose, ever so slightly green in the flavor, and there is some burn on the tongue, but its mild and the freshness still has me hooked. some spiciness on the palate, i think centennial and simcoe are both quite easy to place and appreciate in this, a little bit of honey sweetness from the grain works well with their oils and vegetal heft, subtle key lime as it warms, long on my tongue, delicious but this is a lot, a little filling, a little raw, and maybe even a little overdosed, but this is still quite impressive anyway, and i have a new respect for single hill after getting to visit them during fresh hop season, seriously elite beers coming out of this place!
