Pours a slightly hazed gold with one finger of pearl colored head. Never drops bright, better than average head retention & lacing
S: Catty, grassy notes a little guava as well
T: Follows the nose, some peach & pomelo notes as well up front along with dryness. Some green melon fights through the cattyness. more, plus guava & a little white grape as this beer warms up. Dry finish with green melon, grassy notes & tropical fruit notes, just a little pomelo
MF: Medium body, smooth carbonation, nice balance
Drinks very easy, lovely use of fresh hops

16oz can (no date, but presumably packaged in the last few days or weeks) into a tulip. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a one-finger white head.
Aroma is bright clean citrusy hops—juicy and tempting. If I had to guess I’d say mostly Citra and Simcoe, but I’ll check all available info and update the profile listing with whatever I find. In any case, it smells wonderful.
Taste is likewise a mix of Mandarin orange and ruby red grapefruit—relatively low bitterness but the hop flavor and aromatics really shine through.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, soft on the palate and dangerously drinkable.
Overall SH has hit another home run here. I’m curious to read my review from 2024 because this seems pretty similar to my memory of that beer. Excellent use of fresh hops.
EDIT: Sure enough, I gave 2024 EC exactly the same 4.45 rating as 2025. Great stuff.
