Opaque black color with ruby highlights and a decent tan head.
The aroma is roasted malt, coffee and a hint of smoke.
The taste is also nicely roasted malt - espresso coffee, dark chocolate, a hint of plums and smoke. The finish is dry with lingering coffee and plum, very tasty.
The body is medium, good carbonation level, very smooth and nicely drinkable.
Altogether, this is a tasty Irish stout, a good accompaniment to corned beef and cabbage or other hearty fare, or just great for casual drinking anytime.
