Hoppy Oat Saison

For this saison we utilized a 3 step decoction mash to create an extremely fermentable wort. Mashed with extra light premium Pilsner malt and Riverbend malted oats. Hopped with a heaping dose of East Kent Golding for bittering and Citra in the whirlpool. The wort was then fermented with a pure culture French saison yeast. After primary fermentation was completed we dry hopped it with Galaxy, Citra, and Columbus to complement the citrus character of the yeast. Our hoppy oat saison is fully attenuated for a dry and crisp finish with notes of toasted Marcona almond and orange blossom honey.
