A: Pours with a touch of cloudiness, a yellow color. A two finger white head forms, and recedes quickly. Light lace if left behind.
S: A little bit of nondescript fruity aromas up front, maybe some citrus and lemon being more prominent but hard for me to tell. Peppery phenols are strong and becomes the main theme here.
T: That peppery phenolic spice from the yeast is up front and takes over. Almost plastic like. Citrus/lemon rind is mixed in there as well, or at least that is what I have convinced myself it is.
M/O: A medium body with moderate carbonation. Would like a crisper feel here. Overall, not a perfect example of the style IMO, but enjoyable to drink.
Very much an Americanized version with more phenols/spicy character that almost becomes plastic like. Its the typical yeast profile a lot of American breweries use and not bad at all, just doesn't pop, and not as vibrant as I would like. Still worth a try if at the brewery as your mileage may vary.
