Small Giant is our handcrafted Little Saison. A Belgian-style, easy drinker that's lower in alcohol, crisp, and finishes with subtle pepper and spice notes.
“It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.”

Serving: 16 oz can poured into a Spiegelau beer tulip.
Appearance: Pale straw, golden yellow, and just slightly hazy. Builds a frothy, air head of white foam and leaves sporty lace.
Smell: Nice, complex aroma of yeasty bread, wildflowers, spicy hops, and mild barnyard funk.
Taste: Light and lean malty biscuit body with light citrus tartness and crisp herbal bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Light body and lively carbonation.
Overall: At once incredibly light and refreshing, but still surprisingly flavorful - much like its name suggests.

Look:
Lightly hazy, pale yellow hay color. I got about 1/4" white foam head (looks carbonated), lace forms but dissipates rather quickly.
Smell:
Malty, floral.
Taste:
Malty, some light funkiness, floral. Great for a warmer days.
Feel:
Light bodied. Good amount of carbonation throughout.
Overall:
Happy something like this exists for day drinking in Houston.

Updating my score just a bit. There is more of a fruity/peppery spice, light tartness going on now. Just a bit more yeast character. Balanced with biscuit/cracker/cereal grain like malts. Definitely a nice low ABV Saison. Easy A- territory, loving it more every time I have it.

Labeled as a Grisette, which makes sense. They are going for a low alcohol Saison.
A: Pours with a slight chilled haze. Pale yellow in color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and plenty of lace left behind.
S: A fairly neutral nose. Some grains, crackers, and a faint whiff of spice. All very subtle, to say the least, but not bad at all.
T: Crackers and grains up front and is the main character. Just a touch floral, just a touch spicy. I would very much enjoy more emphasis from the yeast, but still enjoyable for what it is.
M/O: A light body that has very crisp carbonation. Effervescent and dry. Really easy to drink, as it should be. Something I will come back to again when at the brewery.
I do enjoy this, with very simple malt and grain flavors. If the yeast was more apparent, this might be stunning. As is, I think they made what the brewery set out to make. Low ABV Grisette/Saison's are rare around Houston, and this will do nicely. If not a favorite of mine, just enjoyable and well made which is all it needs to be.
