A blend of styles, Contact Light takes the best parts of the Saison and the IPA, folding in Mosaic and Amarillo hops for a spiced up, hop-forward grapefruit and peach refresher.

It pours golden-yellow and a bit hazy, but once the foam from the white head is gone, the haze vanished. Perhaps it is the color of the can, but there are hints of orange and a bit of farmhouse funk. It tastes bitter with hints of fruit. The orange is creeping in here from some hops (mosaic and Amarillo) that have nice citrus tones.

Look:
Pours a light golden yellow. One finger white head but fades rather quickly, good amount of lace.
Smell: Fruit, pine, bubble-gum, spicy.
Taste:
Citrusy, pine, bubble-gum sweetness.
Feel:
Medium body, good carbonation, dry finish, after taste lingers.

Had it from tap at the brewery into a tulip glass. Cloudy yellow color with with greathead and lacing.
Very different beer, sort of a cross between a saison and a strong Mosaic IPA. Very citrusy smell and taste. Imagine a cross between a traditional Belgian Saison and an IPA like Yellow Rose. Fun beer!

This is another Saison, with higher alcohol and dry hopped with Mosaic and Amarillo.
A: Pours a hazed golden/yellow color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and plenty of lace left behind.
S: Fruity hops up front, with pine and grapefruit. A bit of berry and melon aromas. Just a touch of spicy phenols in the mix.
T: Like the nose, the fruit flavors from the hops are the show. Grapefruit, berry, melon, and pine. Just a touch of spicy phenols and lingering bitterness. Certainly enjoyable, but I would like to see the yeast shine a bit more.
M/O: A medium body with crisp and effervescent carbonation. Finishes dry. This is a very enjoyable American IPA and Saison hybrid.
Like the Small Giant Grisette, this is something I would gladly come back to. With some more Saison yeast character, I can see this being excellent. As is, more IPA than Saison, but still love the simplicity and cleanness they have going. Will look forward to trying this again.
