Fermented with a yeast culture from Lithuania, this tart farmhouse saison was brewed with spelt and hopped exclusively with Crystal hops both in the boil and dry hopped. Lemon and pepper are present from the yeast strain and Crystal hops, along with some oak flavors and a tart finish from the wild strains present in the foeder. A refreshing farmhouse foeder sour.

I was served this beer at the brewery poured from tap into a snifter. Fairly clear yellow color with decent head and lacing. Fragrant tart fruit smell, following into the taste. Sourness mellowed and pleasant. Pepper spiciness with hint of lemon rind. Very pleasant beer.
