On the pour, glass looks like Dorthy's ruby slippers, inviting deep red color, not much of a foamy cap. Smells like cherry pie. Straddles the sweet/sour line, not too much of either with a vaguely Rodenbach Grand Cru taste element, very very tasty.

Came in a two-pack, that's a first, hope to find some more.

Notes via stream of consciousness: So this is curious, the label reads "Two Roads Brewing Company". Is this a contract brewed beer or a secondary company for Two Roads? Ahh, looking at the logo it does indeed seem to be a secondary company. OK... It's a somewhat hazy ruby color beneath a pink head of foam. The aroma is clean and smells like cherry juice. It's not particularly bold but it's decent enough. It's pleasant and welcoming. At this point the head has basically dropped to a thin surface covering - ahh, it's now dispersed and it's just a collar with a few spots of lace floating in the center. I'm not expecting any lacing out of this, and that's OK because most sour beers don't hold a head. One day I'll have to look into the science behind that. It tastes just like the aroma suggested it would. It's clean, sour, and cherry flavored. It's superbly balanced but there's nothing there beyond what I've mentioned. It's almost like drinking carbonated, slightly watered down cherry juice. That's not to say that's bad, that's just what it is. It's not bitter at all but that's not really needed as it's tart. On that note, it's not puckeringly tart, but it's got some acidity to it. I'm a fan of sour beers and I find it pleasant but if you're not used to it it might seems a little aggressive to you. For that reason, most likely, they've kept the carbonation moderate. It's not as zesty as some fruited sour beers are, and it's also medium to medium light in body. So, as expected I've got no lacing but that's OK. It's a pleasant, interesting looking, and enjoyable cherry beer that's got a nice tartness to it but otherwise remains pretty basic.
