Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a one finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing, looks great. Aroma of dark toasted malt, coconut, cocoa and vanilla. Flavor is dark toasted malt with mild char, milk chocolate, toasted coconut, vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. A rich, flavorful coconut stout. The coconut has a distinct toasted note, although that is not mentioned on the bottle. Fine, well balanced chocolate and vanilla. Mildly sweet, but stays on the good side of not being cloying. Silky mouth feel tops it off. If this was in our market, I'd be visiting it often.

Had on tap. Sneaky the best of the stouts I tried at riverlands. Appearance had a nice head to go with murky black body.
Speaking of the body, it was creamy and thick, and the booze was really well hidden. Taste was not as in your face, but still had plenty going on: coconut, chocolate, coffee, cinnamon, vanilla, oat, and smooth malt. Smell was coconut forward with cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate supporting.
