Our German Festbier has a deep and layered flavor and aroma, but remains easy drinking and clean. Scarecrows in Lederhosen walks the fine line between a traditional Amber Marzen and the golden Festbiers now served at the Oktoberfest celebration in Munich.

German Tettnang hops provide just enough bitterness and floral spicy notes to balance the authentic German malts, which lend flavors and aroma of freshly baked bread and clean, cracker-like notes.

16oz can with unreadable canning date. (Best guess is 06/31/22) poured into a pint glass shows a gorgeous persistent head and orange amber color.

Great aroma with orange citrus peel leading biscuity malts.

The flavor is the issue, although really picking nits. The orange influence comes very close to perfume-y, and it leans on the sweeter side. Still a solid beer, the label notes it straddles the line between märzen and festbier.

Mouthfeel is slick and fuller, medium with no aftertaste.

Overall pretty good, but I like others better.

Nice copperish color, white head fades quickly. Bready malts, caramel. Flavors are similar, citrus? Smooth, need more carbonation, solid beer.

Pours a dark amber color. Essentially clear. Thin one or two finger, off-white head forms on the beer before quickly dissipating. No residual head remains.

Aroma has notes of brown sugar, graham cracker, a weird fruitiness, and a touch of wet cardboard.

Taste has notes of dark fruits, brown sugar, graham cracker, cardboard, some spicy hops on the back end. There is a slight peppery yeast note to the beer.

Feel is light to medium bodied, smooth with an extremely dry finish - too dry for my tastes.

Overall this was really disappointing.

Feel is light, smooth,

Clear dark amber with surface islands and a bubble ring. Smell is faint: caramel malts and slight dark bread. Taste is bland too, malty and one dimensional. Shocking given riverlands other lagers, this is just bland. Feel is plenty malty and smooth, but again no dynamic of softness or complexity. Disappointing
