Matte black with a mocha head. Smell features the dutch dark cocoa with sugary vanilla, somewhat like oreo cookie enough. Disappointed in the taste. Loved RL but many other chicagoland breweries did the oreo stout better, the cocoa while dark and full is sugary and somewhat bitter, the vanilla sugar cloys as you sip, just doesn't taste done. Feel is lighter for a double milk stout, cakey and somewhat astringent before the cloying finish

On tap at the brewery - St. Charles, IL. Near black stout with a thinner khaki head. Sweet aroma - I smell the Oreos (both cookie and cream filling), maybe some lactose and dark chocolate in there as well. Sweet in flavor: cookies and cream, bitter dark chocolate, earthy hops. Full & creamy body, sweet at first but has a somewhat sharp, astringent finish but some sweetness does linger. Overall, it's a good idea on paper, but I'm not sure it fully melds well as a beer.

Poured into SP wine stem.
Appearance: Black bodied beer with
Smell: Smells exactly like an Oreo cookie you especially smell that oreo filling. Its authentic as smelling an actual oreo.
Taste: The flavor is more about the milk stout than the oreos. Nice lightly roasty milk stout. more bitter than sweet. You definitely taste the lactose (milk sugars) in this beer. I just want way more sweetness from the oreos. As far as the milk stout style goes this is very much to style, but more oreo flavors please!
Mouthfeel: medium light bodied stout with moderately low levels of carbonation. Thin and silky mouthfeel; on par with the mouthfeel of a proper pour of a draft Guiness.
Overall: I wish the beer tasted like it smells. The aroma on this beer is straight oreo cookies. More vanilla and oreo cookies might dial the beer in to where it needs to be. Ample coco nibs were used as it has plenty of that bitter cocoa bitterness and could use more sweetness to balance it. I am probably going to french press oreos with this beer because why the hell not!?!?!?
