Munich Dunkle named for a charm in Bavarian folklore that protects the holder from wolves. Boasting flavors of bread crust, chocolate, and toffee, this beer is still light on the palate and refreshing.

16oz tallboy can poured into Riverlands Dimpled Mug.
Appearance: darker brown bodied lager with a mahogany hue. Khaki colored head that pours 2 fingers tall. Thin cap remains on top of the beer during the entire drinking session.
Smell: Fresh baked bread and fruity lager yeast. Maybe even a little chocolate note as well.
Taste: Bready malt with a toffee / caramel sweetness. Fruity lager yeast. Very well executed.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied lager with moderate carbonation level. Creamy texture to this lager. Very drinkable & smooth.
Overall: Smooth malt forward lager with great texture and drinkability. Pretty traditional / authentic take on a Dunkel here by Riverlands.

Canned 10/28/21; drank 1/2/22 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque brown/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE khaki head; nice tree-rung lace.
Autumn leaf & mild brown sugar notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Caramel & mild brown sugar flavors up front; mild autumn leaf notes on the finish.
Great fall vibes here; a well done dunkel.

Had on tap. Varying shades of dark brown with a thin brown ring and lazy lacing. Smell has roast malts, caramel, distinctive bavarian yeast, and roasted nuts. Taste is also quite authentic though lighter on the palate, has a hint of cocoa in there too. Feel is light but not thin, yeast seems to play more of a role in the texture than the norm, though still plenty malty.
