We took our First Catch of the Day stout with Casas coffee, maple, and vanilla, and added toasted coconut and cocoa nibs.

One heck of a beer. I'm not typically a fan of maple, but this is teaching me that I need a big punch of coconut to make it work. High quality coffee, nice earthy tones complemented by the cacao nibs, and the coconut/maple combo brings it home from the midpalate onward. Thicc and slurpable like all of Riverlands' big stouts, very full bodied and silky smooth. I really appreciate the complexity and balance on display here; you could certainly call it a pastry stout, but it's not cloyingly sweet.

Now that I have had this on draft and from the bottle, I can say that I liked the bottle serving a little more.

This one is sweet and rich. Big chocolate, vanilla, maple, and coconut. fresh roasted coffee in the finish.

Mouthfeel is thin and you would not guess it to be 13%. Light booze.
