German Pilsner with Hallertau hops. Our House Pilsner going forward, we retired the color designation from our previous Pils, Yellow Kayak, and now we bring you the new Kayak Pils. Applying lessons learned from all previous lagers we've brewed, we bring you a crisp, easy drinking yet flavorful beer, lovingly and painstakingly thought out and crafted. Spicy and slightly citrusy noble German Hallertau hops blend with the cracker and honey notes from premium German Pilsner malt to create the lager we've been searching for. Prost!

Canned 1/19/23; drank 2/7/23 @ the Yarchives.
See-through yellow/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small, noisy off-white head; minimal lace.
Roasted corn & acorn notes in the nose.
Sticky medium mouthfeel.
Corn, pine & mild caramel flavors.
Drinkable, certainly, but not my favorite Pils by a long shot.

Pours a light straw-gold color. Its a cloudy-clear. You can see through it, but its not crystal clear. Thick pillowy white head forms on the beer, dissipates, then settles in with a thin layer of foam on top of the beer. Aroma has notes of straw, wet grass, cracker malts, and just a hint of honey.
Taste follows the nose with notes of straw, wet hay, dried grass, cracker malts and spicy, herbal hops on the back end. There is just a kiss of sweetness with a honey-like character. Feel is light, crisp, refreshing. Bright carbonation.
Overall its a solid German pilsner - well done, and in line with the mass produced german pilsners. I would happily drink this one again, but also wouldn't seek out purchasing it again as there are better local options I prefer to this one.

Pretty respectable basic German pils, with fairly light hop bitterness, good straw and malt flavors, and a fairly clean and crisp finish. Bright and flavorful.

This was a decent pilsner. It didn't really stand out in any way. It was refreshing and crisp with a nice biscuit taste to it. I was not really disappointed but was really hoping for a bit more.
