German-Style Black Lager. The night is still and the streets are silent. Midnight Silence is a German-Style Schwarzbier (black lager) brewed with Hallertau Mittlefruh hops. Enjoyed equally well by the fire in quiet contemplation, or in the company of good friends.

Brownish black pour with a large tan head. Feel makes this beer sing, silky smooth, creamy, and soft while showing off both malt and yeast with a sneaky robustness underneath it all. Nose has big yeast for style, dark fruit, cocoa and earth. Taste is similar but not as deep with the yeast or cocoa. Very nice schwarz

Canned 12/30/21; drank 1/17/21 @ the Yarchives.
Brown/black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE tan head; a thick curtain of lace.
Dark chocolate, fresh earth & faint smoke notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Fresh earth & mild cream flavors up front; dark chocolate & faint smoke notes on the finish.
Robust but easy to enjoy; a fine Schwarzbier.
