Cold pint pour at Latitude Restaurant on The Boardwalk at Hollywood Beach, FL.
Arrived with a handsome foam cap that didn’t stand up to the 90° heat of this August afternoon.
There’s an aroma of orange zest, a little maltiness too.
Taste is a West Coast IPA with a shotglass full of blood orange juice added. There’s a decent hop note present. A tad of bitter, not sweet, fruity finish. Alcohol hidden.
Feel is refreshingly medium with lively carbonation bubbles continuously rising from the bottom of the glass.
Overall, it’s a pretty good “Florida beer” that not only rinsed a blackened Mahi sandwich, it’s a nice sud to have in hand while contemplating life as you face the Atlantic Ocean.,
Beer #500!

Draft at the Centurion Lounge at the airport in Miami, FL. Fresh, balanced, malty backbone, lots of fresh squeezed orange juice flavor. A very Floridian beer. It’s nice to be headed home.

7/21/21 Served in a restaurant in the Keys. The menu listed beers including craft beers which were standard IPAs and such that you can buy in the grocery store. Under Premium Craft Beers they listed 3: Dogfish 90, a porter that I can't remember, and Blood Orange IPA, which turned out to be Blood Orange Sunset IPA. The waiter,of course, had no clue.
Served in the bottle with a chilled glass. Poured a deep orange with a nice white head, some lacing. I really don't remember the smell or the mouthfeel. The flavor was a little unusual. On the bottle it says "brewed with real Florida OJ." The citrus definitely came through. Not bad, but not a standout.

12 oz can served in a lager glass.
Pours with a hazy amber body and a semi-durable white head that leaves ample lacing.
This ale has a heavy dose of blood oranges. Unfortunately the flavor profile includes pith, overly ripe oranges, and hints of orange candy.

There is no canned on date. The pour is dark orange. The taste is bitter blood orange, some sour & some malt. If you're into style of beer then you would like it if not then you know. Cheers! B

Desperate for a beer after baking in the sun at the Miami Open (and refusing to pay $8 for Stella or worse), I detoured from the TSA line at Miami International and, gleefully for the first time in my life, went into a Chili's. The stage was set for making the most of the situation.
On tap, Blood Orange Sunset IPA delivered in spades. Please feel free to disagree with my style choice, but this Looked hazy enough to be a NEIPA. More important, it Smelled that way with a medley of citrus and tropical fruits. Tastes were the same, but enormously refreshing and, equally important, didn't lean much at all on the bitter hops. Bubbly with an orange rind after-taste, this slaked my thirst from six hours of sun. The day was done and I boarded my plane back to Chi-town.
Since I added South Beach and this being my first from them, I went on their website. Obviously, they have just started... and seem to contract out their brewing. And of their four brews, all have electrolytes. (I've never knowingly Had a beer with electrolytes... but, OK.) Facts are, South Beach is just getting started and will open a taproom soon and will be among the flood of Florida brewers.
Appropriately, South Beach is started by a hunk who won girls repeatedly on one of those bachelor reality-TV shows.
Finally, people with an excess of sex appeal are getting into the brewing. Break a leg !!!
