Mono Titi Saison Ale was a collaboration between Black Man Brewing and SuizyTico Creaciones. It’s our most refreshing, lightest and fruitiest beer. Perfect for a hot sunny day.

This is not a great representation of the style. In fact this one as a Saison is a stretch. That said, the beer pours and nice deep, amber golden color. Doesn't quite have the sharpness for a saison at the pour and the nose is barely allowing this style to come through. Not a bad tasting beer but too sweet, too lacking carbonation, too lacking any saison qualities to really put this one in that style. I wish they categorized this as something else and I would have appreciated it more. The ingredients say that it's made with orange and carambola, a type of star shaped, somewhat waxy skinned fruit. That may explain a bit.

This collaboration includes starfruits and bitter orange. Very refreshing. Light on the palate, more tart than bitter but not too much so. A thirst quencher perfect for hot weather. The starfruit adds an interesting dryness. Smells of citrus peel and sugar. Cloudy murky dull orange, obviously unfiltered, like tropical fruit juice. There is an almost creamy smoothness in the finish, like a dreamsicle. This is where the orange comes into play. Very pleasant throughout. A highlight of my Costa Rican beer experience.
