Our Pale Ale is flavourful, dry and sessionable – made with a medley of three different hops for a punch of citrus. Full of stone-fruit flavours but not too bitter.
Pedalling his bike around town with his trusty chicken abroad, the “Chicken Man” as he was known, has become iconic to the residents of Georgetown.
Although his identity is uncertain and his whereabouts unknown, his legend lives on. Make a trip down to the brewery and ask the locals to tell tales of how they remember him…or simply enjoy our Pale Ale to celebrate this eccentric and well-loved character of Georgetown.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Nov 25 2011 and served barely chilled.
Pours a clear golden yellow colour, its body strewn with faint, sandy flecks of sediment; seated atop is one inch of lumpy, soapy white head that dissipates within a matter of minutes. A creamy collar and filmy cap remain in place afterwards, underneath a wavering curtain of sticky lace - looks pretty good to me. The nose is muted, including hints of orange, peach and cereal grain.
Serviceable yet unspectacular - a classic lunch pail ale IMO. Mainly doughy malts, with cereal graininess and fruit cup orange slices in syrup. The finish adds piney hops and a mild earthiness, but I didn't find it especially bitter. Medium-light in body, with moderate carbonation that adds a frothiness to this brew's smooth mouthfeel. Unbelievably easy to toss back, this is a beer meant for drinking, not to contemplate or fuss over.
Final Grade: 3.57, a B grade. Chicken Man is a beer I wouldn't mind drinking again, but not one I'd deliberately seek out. Unobjectionable in basically every sense, this beer's sheer drinkability is undeniable - but does it really stand out as a distinct option from other Ontario pale ales? I want to say yes. If I had to recommend it to a specific type of beer geek, I think fans of English pale ales in particular should consider giving it a whirl.

L: Nearly opaque medium yellow, a modest amount of head, lots of bubbles
S: Subtle stonefruit and citrus pith, a hint of grassy spicy yeast
T: Similar to the smell, not very bold but well rounded flavour and not overly fruity. Has a touch of sourness. Toasty toffee malts soon become more apparent on the finish and linger with moderate bitterness.
F: mild carbonation, a bit thick and creamy, slightly dry.

I bought a can at the lcbo in Ontario 473ml at 5.4%.
poured a 2finger head into glass that quickly disappeared but left a little bit of a lace medium carbonation easy drinking pale ale with a little citrus flavor with a dry finish.
my can tasted and looked fresh but there was
no brew date on can .
chicken man pale ale not a bad beer it was actually good but with no brew date on the can it's a hard buy .
cheers

A-Clear crisp golden yellow, with a soapy white head.
S-Tart Apple and old lager type skunk aromas
M-Light watery mouthfeel with a peppery bite and medium to high end carbonation
T-This tastes like a poorly crafted yellow beer. Bitterness on the finish is tart and acidic
O-I suppose the old adage of don’t just a beer by its can is relevant here, as I purchased this for the quirky name and can design. Too bad.

This one doesn't really carry itself like a pale ale. Not quite clear orange tinged gold. Soapy head gone straight away, nor lacing. Nose is orange and rough edged alcohol. Full, doughy mouthful. Bitter and astringent finish. Just not hoppy enough, pretty sharp edged for the style. Kind of a miss I think.

L: Pale, slightly hazy orange colour with nice amount of head and lacing.
S: Orange, grassy malt and slight metallic tinge.
T: Orange, malt, pine, and bitter.
F: Astringent, mild carbonation, drying.
O: I was hoping for more from this one. Had an off-hand recommendation at the LCBO and the can mentions a "punch of citrus" that was more a dry, background addition. Wanted the citrus punch it never delivered. Average brew.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $3.35 or so. Canned July 9, 2020. This version listed at 5.4% ABV.
Appearance - slightly hazy, amber gold brew with a finger plus of head. Moderate lacing and decent staying power.
Smell - Heavy malt base with trace amounts of orange, other citrus and plenty of caramel.
Taste - Malty and bready mostly, some pine and finishes on the bitter side of things. A little bit of buttery popcorn characteristics. Finishes more bitter than it needs to be.
Mouthfeel - Slick, a little oily, body is heavier than expected and finish is off-dry. Carbonation is moderate.
Overall - Ok pale ale that is heavy handed but flavors and smells especially are better than average. Worth a shot.

Pours a nice clear gold colour with a head so big I have to do a double pour to let it die down. Quite bitter for a pale ale. Nicely hopped. I detect a bit of sourness as well. Highly carbonated
