|Copenhagen 2/9 2019. 44 cl can from Voldby Købmandsgård (web-shop). Third Barrels usual design with small squares with the name and type of the beer - this time in a purple version.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with a big white head. Bubbly but persistent. Chunks of yeast whirling around. Head settles as 2 cm thick fluffy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fresh and citric with a darker more ominous, fermented sweetness lurking in the background. Citrus lemon and Grape fruit. Fermented tropical fruit. Papaya and Passion fruit. Whiff of decay.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sour twist. Lingering. Finish is dry.
DIPA with a solid bitter punch but light on the alcohol. A little fizzy but certainly decent.

440ml can served in a hotel tumbler. Bought it at Molloy's in Dublin. BB 27/03/2020. Hopefully that means it's pretty fresh...
Pours a hazy amber with an initially large head, fades moderately slowly to a medium sized head. Plenty of carbonation. Smell is bright on the pour, fruity, tropical and citrus.
Taste is a bit less joyful than the aroma -- not bad, but not as bright. Citrus for sure, less tropical, more pine and bitter. Still tasty.
Mouthfeel is dry and light. Overall, good beer.
