VII XXV XVII is a Wheatwine ale with delicate aromas of candied orange, vanilla bean and Sauvignon Blanc. VII XXV XVII was brewed with over 50% Solstice red wheat malt helping contribute to a lusciously smooth and complex mouthfeel. Our Wheatwine has light caramel wheat malt character with soft hop bitterness allowing for the flavors of orange zest, honey and banana to shine. VII XXV XVII finishes with a light warming alcohol and should age gracefully for years to come.

Level Crossing VII XXV XVII BBA Wheatwine, 10.5% ABV. Pours deep brown with a one-finger beige head that left slight lacing. Aroma is toffee, vanilla, and orange. Taste follows, plus honey, slightly sweet, faintly bitter, no bourbon burn. Excellent mouthfeel, overall world-class.

A - Medium copper colored pour with moderate lacing.

S - Apricot fruity nose.

T - Boozy apricot, that's it.

M - Light syrupy body with some warming on the way down.

O - This will definitely put you in a happy place but lacks depth.

Weird name/number? Idk.
Purchased from the brewery cooler for $6
Canned 7.21.23
Poured at near fridge temp into a snifter glass

Pours a light caramel with orange hues and a thick tan foam up top. Some chunky lacing and hair thin ring. 4

Aroma was very unexpected for me/my experience with the style. Candied orange/citrus and candied apricot. Sweet and fruity, not cloying or sickly. A touch of flower sweetened honey too. 4.25

Raw wheat, bitter orange peel and herbal hops, soft alcohol bite. Moderately dry. Apricot flesh gives way to sweeter orange as it warms. 4.25

Mild carbo, some frothiness. Lingering bitter hop oils. Alcohol taste is there but feel Is completely absent. Feels like a wcipa or lighter Belgian, not a 10.2% mammoth. 4.25

Overall a unique Wheatwine in my experience. I haven't really seen/tasted one that is more fruity than malty/grainy thus far, but I'd buy it again. 4

16oz can at share. Dark golden pour with a small, off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma, molasses. Taste brings soft caramel notes to this big sugary BW.
