Stopped by my regular beer spot and saw these mysterious eyes at the neck of the bottle and said, "what the hell".
I've had some Speakeasy beers in my jaunts of exploration, but this put them on my radar. Sorry to see this is retired.
L: Almost unfiltered (though not stated on bottle) hue of Pantone 1505 XGC (amber to richer red) that gives off an inviting first impression
S: Muddled citrus leaning towards woody pine
T: Though an IPA where there is an interesting hop moment, I'm surprised by the malty qualities
F: Great mouth feel. Depth that carried a simmering brown sugar coated orange peel. Great lingering after taste.
O: Impressive limited release. Would look for this again and try more from Speakeasy

22 oz. bottle poured into pint glass. Pours copper in color with 1 finger of head and nice lacing. Aromas of grapefruit, citrus, pine, and malt. Medium body. Palate is balanced citrus, resinous bitterness and malt. A really nice IPA…probably the best in the Speakeasy Limited series.

Pours a rich red-orange sun hue with a nice half inch white head.
Nose is low key but consists of Bready malt, citrus, grapefruit and some herbal qualities.
Lemon-lime, grapefruit, lite tangerine, some white grape and a bit of herb and pine, taste wise. Bitter-sweet aftertaste.
The mouthfeel is great. Crisp, smooth, lite yet medium bodied. Perfect amount of alcohol. Quaffable and sippable.

Amber color; relatively dark for an IPA. Quite fluffy head. Smell is very piny. Taste is balanced. Not particularly bitter, with pleasant malt characteristics - rye bread, chocolate. Light citrus.

Served in pint glass from a 22oz. bomber.
Appearance: A slight hazy amber, with heavy bubbles.Thick white head is extra bubbly regardless of the pour.
Smell: Light floral scent, comes and goes.
Taste: Easy to indulge in this brew, smooth hops with a smooth grapefruit feel. Not overly bitter like some IPAs but one I would recommend to either starter or at minimum looking for that palate cleanser. ;-)
Mouth: Medium bodied, crisp. Has a heavy citrus finish that is bold in flavor.
Overall: Very good brew, will not blow your mind but definitely satisfy your palates (and some). Smoother than most but definitely tastier. Grab a glass and treat yourself...Salud!

On tap at Whole Foods in Pasadena, CA.
Pours a hazy dark honey orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and slight herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice mixture of citrus and herbal hop qualities in the taste.
Serving type: on tap.

Pours a medium amber. Very dank, grapefruit-y hops both in the nose and palate, with medium bitterness. Bright and juicy-- invites another sip. I'm quite impressed by this; best thing I've had yet from Speakeasy.
