Pours a thin head on a clear straw colored body.
The aroma is wheat, mild spices and lemon.
The taste is tart with spices and mild lemon bitterness.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
A fine enough beer, but nothing I would go back for..

On tap at Toma Sol in San Diego. Amber color in the pint shaker. Modest head with a pleasant zing on the tongue. Fragrant with spice. An interesting aroma of malt and coriander that is really beery in a nice way.

Warm and malty with more subsance than the usual Wit. A touch of bitterness with the dry Belgian yeastiness. Pleasant sharp touch. A browned biscuit taste like a pale ale. Some hoppy bitterness along with the yeast.

A pleasant quaff that is a little harder, faster, stronger, than the typical Witbier.

I had this on-tap in a pint glass at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.

Appearance: medium golden hue with a light haze and a finger of frothy white foam. Not too bad, but I tend to like my witbiers nice and silvery.

Smell: lightly sweet with a refreshing wheatiness and a light banana character. I like it.

Taste: sweet, grainy and a little bit sour. The spicing is very earthy and doesn't pique my interest. It's not terrible, but it doesn't really float my boat.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation. Not super creamy, but interesting enough.

Overall: this beer has some things going for it, but something about the spicing doesn't work particularly well for my palate. Could be worth a try, though.

On tap at Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank, CA.

Pours a clear light yellow with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, spices, and alcohol. Taste is much the same with a slight soapy finish. There is a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but not something I would likely seek out again.

Summer 2013. On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Another taste reveals something other than...First guess was a sort of rose water but a deeper dig reveal "pink peppercorns". I'll get back to you on that.

06/19/13. On tap. Lots of body & just a hint of citrus

A: Not really hazy, but not opaque or translucent, copper/straw with a white head.

S: Wheat, tropical fruit, melon, cloves, coriander, nutmeg in an interesting nose.

T: Wheat backbone, tropical fruit, coriander, clove and nutmeg.

M: Light bodied and carbonated, but not harsh.

O: Not the most typical of witbiers, but that spiciness is there and it's nice and fruity with a pleasantly light, wheaty body.
