This one uses more malt and hops than should be allowed, including Apollo, Zeus, Citra, and Simcoe. Aromas of candied orange and papaya and a little booziness.

16oz can from Tavour. Pours out a medium Amber with a foamy head that Fades to a small cap. Aroma is big, full hops ...in your face. Taste brings a nice sweet caramel malt up front, followed by the astringent hop should expect from a triple IPA. Kind of sweet and plenty bitter. Pretty damn good

"Boozy" is the word. Hot and tongue singeing. Extravagant over-hopping. Flavors of burnt orange peel. It's like one of those boozy drinks you set on fire but got the little umbrella scorched. Stingingly bitter. Attractive, though, with the tall pile of creamy foam on the amber brew in the big Stout glass.

This is just too much in every way. One can would add plenty of hop flavor to a case of lagers. Should be marketed as "IPA concentrate." From the 16 oz can purchased at the big box off the warm shelves. Dated 10/23/21.

Can only about a week old, and refrigerated from New Leaf.
Unfortunately even though fresh already a malt bomb. There’s probably high IBU’s but barely noticeable. Even though ridiculously high abv on this “quad” ipa is fairly well hidden it’s still fairly boozy.
Just kind of a dump truck beer.

Can from the taphouse in Turlock, poured into a pint glass. Decent head, great lacing. Nose is not as hoppy as you'd think, certainly not grassy or piney. Breathing in with first sip you can definitely get the alcohol...definitely. 11.7% is hard to hide and there's no hiding here. Good bitterness, not as cloying as a Stone high-hop offering but still hop-forward. Doesn't linger (to me) as much on the tongue, as it doesn't seem to have the oils/resin that cling. Actually a little crisper than I expected and surprisingly easy to drink for a high-octane beer.

16oz can served in a pint glass. Canned on 04/25/19. Wife brought it back from a trip to San Jose.

Pours a light amber color with a small head, moderately still. Smell is wet, cut grass, heavy greens.

Taste is palate-wrenchingly bitter. Strong citrus / pine bitterness. Sweetness, but hard to identify beyond the noise of the bitterness.

Mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Overall...it's over the top. If that's what you're looking for, you should like this. If not, like me, you might be unimpressed by the overwhelmingness.

Fun name and eye catching packaging didn’t quite overcome a slightly too heavy handed taste. In Dust Bowl’s defense they did call it a “mega” IPA, and that hit the mark.
