TALEA's first West Coast IPA! Inspired by co-founder LeAnn's years spent in San Diego and San Francisco, this beer is the best of both coasts - lightly hazy from dry-hopping with Strata with a balanced bitterness from Centennial.

Can from Whole Foods on the UES NYC. Pours a murky dark amber/orange with a finger of creamy white head that lingers, nice lacing, smell is big caramel malts, overripe cantaloupe, papaya, tropical frosting, candied grapefruit peel, and mild peppery bitterness, taste is candied grapefruit, grapefruit cake, papaya, and pine and pith bitterness on the finish that lingers, hints of chewy caramel, yellow cake, and coconut, feel is medium bodied, creamy carbonation, mild carbonic bite. A well balanced tropical leaning West coast IPA treat.

Clear yellowy-copper color with a fluffy white head that lasts for quite a bit and a nice bit of lacing. Once I took a few sips and poured the rest of the can into my pint glass, the beer gets kind of hazy.
Biscuity malt and earthy pine on the nose. A hint of yeast maybe.
Taste is bright, tart, and dank. Nice amount of bitterness but not overwhelming. The dank pine flavors are the most pronounced but there is also a definite hint of citrusy brightness. The malt flavor is in there in the background as well. The bitterness comes through in the nice long finish. No alcohol flavor but it tastes like a 7.2%.
Thicker mouthfeel than you might expect from looking at it. It coats the mouth nicely and feels almost a tiny bit creamy. Great carbonation.
This is the first beer I've tried from Talea. It's a quite good West Coast style. Nicely balanced between the dank, bitter notes and the lighter citrusy flavors. I'd get this again and will look forward to trying more from Talea.

Pours copper gold with a finger of suds that dissipated to nice lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine . Medium pithy mouthfeel. Some bitterness as is classic of a West Coast IPA. Not much haze. Super dry finish , even a bit tart. A nice alternative if you’re looking for the original pre NE juice bombs
