Pours a crystal clear golden yellow, brief fizzy 1" white head that quickly falls out, no retention or lacing. Nose is spicy masala (cardamom, cinnamon, allspice, cumin), very warming, with some back notes of the lager base. Taste is very chai-forward; big cardamom hit, along with the attendant spices; vanilla and cream mid-palate; cracker and grain balances the spices. Light chili spice deep in the finish as well. Taste is extremely well balanced and greater than the sum of its parts. Though it isn't speed, it's very reminiscent of rice pudding in its combination of spice and grain. Feel is clean and crisp. This one really works and wish I had picked up a few more.
