A new hop for us is Sabro. We paired this with citra and are very glad we did. Sabro had some unique aromas to it including coconut and cedar. The sweeter coconut aromas really come out in the dry hop. Mixed with the tropical and pineapple character of the citra it hits like a piƱa colada. A delicious creamy, summer double IPA.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on July 17, 2019. Hopped with Citra and Sabro. Look is hazy. Smell is coconut and cedar. Taste is tropical fruit and pineapple. Feel is smooth and creamy.

Extremely cloudy gold/orange, lots of creamy lacing and foam. Hoppy scents, slightly citrusy, slightly piney, slightly dankly funky.
Taste is sharp piney up front, surrounded by orange and lemon citrus notes, then a subtle malt and almost honeylike sweetness. Medium bodied, mouth watering, light alcohol presence, creamy, smooth, tangy. A little different than most of their beers, enjoyable, better than the scores.

Hazy dirty gold with a ring of white foam and lacing. Yeasty on the nose, with orange, papaya, melon, and coconut, hops are lurking behind it all. Taste is a miss for me, orange pith, lemon, melon, papaya with again a lot of yeast, hop bitters, and some booze leaking out on the end here and there, resulting in a little bit of a soapy flavor. Feel is airy before the yeast settles into the palate, sharp with the hops, but ultimately medium bodied and slightly soapy.

I love the creamy feel and tropical coconut almost hop profile. The bitterness is very slight and as usual I don't taste the alcohol at all. Another great offering from Phase 3 and I'll look for this again!

I really liked this one. The Sabro hop is becoming my favorite hop. It's so tropical and the coconut smell and taste is very present here. It mixes nicely with the Citra to make a very nice combo. This beer is tropical both in smell and taste and it's got a very nice smooth creamy mouthfeel.

Canned 7/16/19; drank same day (!) @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Orange citrus, mild lager yeast & faint cream notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium mouthfeel.
Orange citrus & mild cream flavors up front; mild cream & faint lager yeast notes on the finish.
A surprising number of Phase Three IPA's finish like lagers to me; this isn't the worst offender but it's not one I'm excited to find again. Just OK.
