From the 16 oz can in a snifter thanks to Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This big dessert brew pours a coal black with a nice head of khaki foam
that subsides to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some nice lacing.
Nose of heavy coffee, sweet toffee, char, and deep roast. Flavors
follow the nose with heavy coffee, char, toffee, brulee, tobacco notes,
earthy malts, chocolate syrup, and astringent booze notes. Mouth feel is
full, slick, coating, warming, light carbonation, and finishing sweet teetering
on cloying.

Overall, a solid brew with some serious gusto on the sweet side.

Solid

Cheers

16 ounce can, canning date is smudged so I don't know the age of it. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like toffee, coffee, and some caramel. Taste pretty much follows the aroma, but there's also some chocolate noticeable. Leans sweeter tasting but it doesn't overpower the coffee. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one, definitely worth picking up especially if you like sweeter tasting coffee porters!

Canned on: Date stamp is too gimped out to read.

A - Pitch black pour with caramel colored creamy lacing.

S - Big coffee, tofee, and roasted malt on the nose.

T - Alcohol, coffee, alcohol, toffee, and more alcohol while finishing boozy and sweet.

M - Big silky, viscous body that leaves a sticky, sugary residue on the lips, wartming in the back of the throat.

O - Not what I expected but still decent.

draft pour into a snifter. pitch black. served too cold, of course. rich toffee and subtle coffee on the nose. taste seems dominated by sweet toffee with a subtle coffee roast in the finish. medium-full mouthfeel. this series can be a little hit or miss depending on the adjunct addition, however, it’s usually solid overall. this was no exception. a good beer but a little too sweet with the toffee.

These guys make a great strong Porter. I always have to remind myself they’re not stouts. Very dark, quickly dissipating head and lacing. Looks like a thick syrupy coffee. Smell is sweet toffee over roasty coffee. Some notes of vanilla and chocolate. Taste is toffee, coffee, and dark malt. Sweet, roasty. Feel is big bodied, thick, syrupy. The alcohol, as with all the Pressed beers, is disguised well and sneaks up on you. Maybe not as good as the vanilla or maple, but that may be because I’m not the biggest toffee fan.

Tar black with brown highlights and cap. Smell captures the coffee and toffee melding together as one beautifully, with chocolate chips, and to a lesser degree vanilla and coconut shavings, a mocha all together. Oh boy is the taste sweet though, at first it worked, toffee mocha in a beer, with the toffee playing off the coffee and dark chocolate hybrid wonderfully, sweet for sure but bearable, but as it warmed it became sickly sweet and syrupy. While some many in the pressed series have starred a porter with bold accents, this one loses the porter feel quickly, too syrupy and viscous.

Black as night with thin dark brown head.

Smells like it’s going to be sweet. Lots of coffee & rich caramels.

Taste- this is one sweet beast. Even dessert would call that sweet. This beer leads with milk chocolates & lots of caramel sweetness. I don’t quite get the toffee, but you can say that caramel & toffee are very similar flavors. Coffee is there, but it’s an afterthought. Looking for more coffee to balance the crazy sweetness.

Mouthfeel- thick body with low but adequate carbonation levels. This is so thick it makes me wonder how a porter can be this thick without the usage of lactose? I just don’t know... The “pressed” series continues to deliver this type of mouthfeel consistently.

Overall- so far I’ve had maple vanilla and toffee. And toffee is my favorite flavor. While it has the least amount of coffee of the three variants, it still seems to win over vanilla and maple. The level of enjoyment would have significantly increased if there was more roasted coffee involved in this beer. And how are any of these press series not considered stouts yet are labeled porters? they are so thick, I think coffee Stout not coffee Porter.
